  7.     The new, cooperative spirit between George Bush and Israeli
  8. Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir has prompted some Democrats to
  9. worry about their domestic standing with Jewish voters. This
  10. time it's the Democrats who come off as "wimpy," says a Jewish
  11. Democratic activist.

  13.     The President won just 30% of the Jewish vote in 1988, but
  14. his decision to take on Iraq could bring him a much bigger
  15. share of that traditionally Democratic bloc in 1992. More
  16. important, Jewish Americans could start raising large sums of
  17. money for the Bush re-election effort.
